The Hardy Marquis LWT Reel is the legendary model you remember with a few updates. With modifications primarily centered around shaving weight, the LWT version features a modified porting which drops ounces without sacrificing the clean lines of the classic. It's constructed with machined aluminum and anodized for durability, while inside it features stainless steel and brass components for long-term use. An improved drag range keeps the Marquis up to date with modern technology, and Hardy gave it an indented drag knob for precise adjustment. The quick-change spool easily switches from left- to right-handed operation, or can be traded with a spare spool (sold separately) for simple switches between floating and sinking line.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
