It can be tricky to balance the drive to always improve your riding with the depth of your pocket book and it's apparent at nearly any trailhead you stop at. Left and right you'll find beat-up mobiles adorned with top-tier carbon bikes, decked out with the sickest components on the market. We get it, and we think its important to prioritize the things that bring us the most joy in life. Industry Nine has long been the standard for the nicest wheels and snappiest hubs on the market, and while it can be tempting to toss the latest and greatest on the rig you strap to your rust-mobile, there's a point at which we suggest saving room in your budget for a few other components, and the 1/1 Trail S 29in Boost Wheelset makes a fine option for saving bills, while getting all of the thrills. Internally, the 1/1 bares some similarities to the Hydra and its predecessor, the Torch, but is ever so slightly less snappy, with 4-degrees of engagement, which still blows much of the competition out of the water. The 1/1 hub utilizes a 45-tooth spline, and six phased pawls that engage two at a time, making for 90 ngagement points as you spin. We won't try to convince you that the 1/1 will feel as snappy as the Hydra, it measures in at 4-degrees of engagement as opposed to the 0. 52 that the Hydra packs, but it does fallow closely to the ever-coveted Torch which was long revered as one of the snappiest wheelsets on the market -- that is until I9's engineers had to go and out-do themselves. What this means is that power is nearly instantaneous when you hammer on the pedals, leaving little energy wasted, and a responsive feel through the ride. When it comes to tackling the mountain we don't think everyone should have to break the bank, and the designers at I9 ...

Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
