The Pon2oon Ski isn't only the widest ski in K2's collection; it's one of the widest planks in the world. The 132mm waist offers legendary flotation on the deepest powder days, and the Powder Rocker profile includes heavily rockered tip and tail to ease turning in the deeps. There's a bit of camber underfoot to spring in and out of turns so you don't sink, and K2 added a subtle pin tail so snow will shoot up behind you as you cruise down the mountain. A fairly straightforward sidecut gives the Pon2oon a long turn radius to grant high stability at top speeds down big mountains. K2 built the Pon2oon out of a unique core composed of three different woods. Bamboo and aspen woods give this ski a stiff feel, while paulownia grants a bit more flexibility in critical areas, keeping the ski fun and lively in the soft stuff. The fiberglass laminates have a triaxial braid to enhance stiffness without inhibiting the ski's natural flex. K2 capped the Pon2oon's topsheet without sidewalls to maintain a surprisingly light weight in such a fat ski.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
