The two absolute worst things about cycling in spring and fall are getting caught in the rain with nothing on but a thermal jersey and that niggling, unidentifiable creak that began broadcasting from somewhere in the vicinity of your bottom bracket back in summer. Louis Garneau has the first scenario covered with its Torrent RTR Men's Jacket, but as far as the creak goes (Is it the derailleur hanger' The rear hub' The bottom bracket bolt' A ventriloquist seatpost clamp'), you're on your own. The Torrent RTR is equipped with a 2. 5-layer Extenz softshell membrane, which is waterproof, windproof, breathable, and--most importantly for the shoulder season cyclist--extremely packable. It compresses into its own pocket, so you can stow it in a thermal jersey pocket and pull it out when the clouds inevitably roll in 30 minutes after you roll out under clear skies in early April. The Torrent RTR's packability would mean little if it had all the protective qualities of tissue paper, though, so the Extenz membrane remains the jacket's key feature. It's anti-element firepower is reinforced with sealed seams, two waterproof zippers, and a full-length draft flap, and a vent in the back helps offset the hit that breathability takes when water-resistance is maximized. The jacket is cut for layering, and articulated elbows and silicone grip at the hem help maintain reach and coverage. Finally, a chest clasp, keeps the jacket from flapping open if you want to unzip for a little more air flow.

Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination. Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River or enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place.
The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
