Product Description
Ribbon Coil 170 Boost Fork - 27.5in by MRP
Rocky, chunky, and rooty are three choice words for describing the kind of trails you covet, and while there's no doubt that air sprung shocks have improved, you aren't ready to let go of the supple and linear rates of a coil fork. We don't blame you, and with options like the MRP Ribbon Coil 170 Boost Fork for 27. 5in hoops, the choices just got even sweeter. This fork combines the feel you love from a coil with adjustability we never used to find in coil forks. Packing in adjustable compression, ramp speed, and bottom out support, the Ribbon is ready to take on wily backcountry trails and bike parks alike, eating up brake bumps and chatter, and floating over lofty drops with 170-millimeters of squish to take the sting out of flat landings and jarring trails. Seeing that MRP's local trails in Grand Junction, Colorado are some of the most challenging and diverse in the country, it makes perfect sense that they'd create the Ribbon Coil with 35-millimeter stanchions for reduced torsional flex when you're rallying it over chunky rocks, steep descents, and harsh drops. In fact, the Ribbon is named after an infamous trail in the Grand Junction area, touted as one of the most "unique slab rock trails that's as fast as your bike will permit." This brutal testing ground sets the bar high for the Ribbon's performance, meaning it had to excel on the steepest descents at high speeds, but also pick lines across technical sections with methodical precision. The Ribbon Coil comes ready to run with the standard medium shock installed, but come along with light and firm springs as well, letting you pick what feels best for you based on riding preferences and weight. You'll find all of the benefits you'd expect from a coil suspension, like linear spring rate, fewer seals for reduced friction, and consistency through all kinds of terrain. Unlike coil forks of the past, though, the Ribbon can be adjusted on the fly, and weighs in at just 4. 6lb, beating many air sprung forks on t...

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
