The Bronson is a mountain biker's mountain bike. The quintessential all-mountain machine. A bike that specializes in nothing, but excels at pretty much everything. We've been fans ever since the first generation that came out in 2013, but the newest generation is the best one yet thanks to the new lower-link VPP suspension, updated geometry, and a host of other refinements that altogether make up an impressive package. Tackling everything from epic backcountry missions to fast laps at the bike park, the Bronson is just plain fun. And with this aluminum version, you can get all that Bronson goodness without breaking the bank. The third generation Bronson receives the lower-link VPP treatment that's now widespread in the Santa Cruz lineup. The bike maintains the same 150mm rear travel as previous generations, but the lower-link VPP allows a more linear suspension curve for better sensitivity and overall bump absorption. The revised suspension maintains the same efficient pedaling and climbing performance of previous generations, but with increased traction on rough trails and descents, letting you ride harder if you please. The Bronson also sees some significant changes to geometry, pushing it further into the gravity spectrum. The reach and wheelbase are longer and the head tube is slacker, providing more stability during high-speed sections and technical descents. Santa Cruz knows that pedaling prowess matters, so they incorporated a steeper 75. 3-degree seat tube angle to balance the long and slack geo. Combined with the efficient VPP platform, the bike tackles tough climbs with ease. The geometry is also adjustable via a flip-chip in the linkage, allowing you to tune the handling to suit the trail at hand. This particular Bronson is offered with an aluminum frame for those aggressive riders seeking something that's a bit more economical, but without significantly altering its riding characteristics. The alloy frame is practically identical to carbon models i...

Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
