Whether we are bombing our local black diamond trails or training for our next race with a day filled with climbing and descending the Santa Cruz Nomad is our weapon of choice when the day calls for a bike that can do almost everything. The Nomad is a long-travel enduro bike with aggressive geometry a mixed-wheel setup and 170mm lower-link VPP suspension. The Nomad was designed to bomb down the steepest hills and still remain efficient enough to climb back up and do it all over again. With a slack 63. 8-degree head tube angle the Nomad provides stability and confidence on steep descents by keeping the front wheel further in front of us allowing us to go faster and have more confidence when things get rowdy. The Nomad's mixed-wheel setup takes its capability even further with the 29-inch wheel up front granting monster tuck rollover capability. At the same time the 27. 5-inch rear tire allows us to whip the bike around corners easier and have more agility on flat ground. Size-specific chainstays ensure the optimal balanced and stable ride for all sizes and a low top tube allows for more stand-over height to fit a broader range of riders. Size-specific seat tube angles averaging at 77. 5 degrees ensure a perfectly centered position to be as efficient as possible on the climb back for all frame sizes. The Nomad is fitted with a Glovebox internal frame storage system that allows us to store our ride essentials in the frame's downtube.
