Reserve 30 27.5in Chris King Boost Wheelset by Santa Cruz Bicycles
We feel that under no circumstance should you have to sacrifice durability on a high-end carbon wheelset and thankfully the fine folks at Santa Cruz feel the same way. We're accustomed to its lightweight, responsive, durable frames, with the reassurance of a lifetime warranty, and were super excited with the launch of a wheelset with the same attributes that could stand up to enduro riding and survive the hardest hits. Santa Cruz was able to use its wealth of knowledge developing class-leading frames when it came time to develop a carbon fiber rim, and the engineers at Santa Cruz knew that it had to do things a bit differently than the rest if it wanted to achieve its goals. Top of the list was impact resistance and countless hours were spent on research and development with machines and professional riders abusing the wheels before the ideal matrix of shape, material, and layup was reached. The Reserve 30 27. 5in Chris King Boost Wheelset achieves what many other carbon fiber wheels on the market can't, they're extremely lightweight, durable even under professional riders, and not so jarring that it causes undue fatigue on the trails. To learn how to make a stronger wheel, Santa Cruz studied the breaking point of other wheels on the market. Through testing with its pro riders, the engineers determined that rims were breaking most frequently from spokes pulling through when rapidly tensioned under the flex of the wheel on serious impact, so the focus was placed on increasing spoke-hole strength. Carbon was strategically added in square-shaped reinforcements around the spoke holes, which allows them to minimize the addition of extra material where it isn't needed so that it can be added in other areas where it is. When rims weren't breaking from spokes pulling through, they were breaking from harsh square edge impacts. Santa Cruz tackled this weakness by strengthening both beads on the Reserve rim using the excess carbon saved by the optimized spoke hole reinfor...

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
