Tallboy 29 Carbon CC XX1 Eagle Reserve Mountain Bike by Santa Cruz Bicycles
There was a time when Santa Cruz's lineup lacked a solid short-travel whip for cross country domination -- when we rode the Tallboy on smooth and racy ribbons of trail because it was the closest thing to the tried-and-true Blur, which we dearly missed. The suspension is designed with the same engineering principles as the brand's longest travel bikes, making it just as at home riding cross-country as it is extreme backcountry. Santa Cruz's VPP suspension is designed to stabilize the suspension when you're putting power down on the pedals, meaning the rear end ceases to bob, providing a much more responsive and lively feel when you hammer up steeps, so you aren't wasting ...

Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
