There are two main reasons you need the Seals Cockpit Seal--to prevent bugs and critters from bunking in your cockpit and to keep out debris and weather while you transport your kayak on the roof of your car. Made with cargo-cover material, this seal is tear-resistant and equipped with UV protection so that sticks, yard tools, and sun don't damage your kayak. A gripped rim and bungee drawcord create a tight, sticky seal on the coaming of your kayak to ensure a tight seal.
