Product Description
Alloy Off-Road Handlebar by Thomson
Since 1996, the Thomson name has been synonymous with providing the serious cyclist with lightweight and highly-dependable components. Its new aluminum drop bars continues this tradition with innovative shapes and premium materials providing the performance and reliability we've come to expect from the firm. This bar, the Alloy Off-Road Handlebar, is specifically designed for gravel and touring use and its unique bend will help you get the most out of your drop bar off road bike. Using drop bars in the dirt is nothing new (queuing up the image of John Tomac, in the woods, clutching a beer in his 7-Eleven kit and a leather hairnet). After all, 'cross bikes have been rocking them since the beginning of, well, the 'cross bike. With the explosion of gravel bikes and more folks bikepacking, refinements to age-old shapes have altered the bends, lengths, and angles to better cope with the demands needed. Thomson throws its hat into the ring with an aluminum drop handlebar specifically designed for off-road riding. This 7000-series aluminum bar features a 25-degree flare to offer more stability and a more neutral wrist angle while descending in loose conditions especially while loaded down. Available in 44 or 46cm widths (at the hoods) the generous 105mm reach offers plenty of positions for the hands. Thomson claims that the bars exceed the ISO 4210-2:2015 requirement, which we honestly don't know what that means, but we're sure it'll give us some peace of mind while trudging along a rough road, chasing daylight before setting up camp for the night.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
