Part of Volkl's freestyle collection, the Bash 89 Ski is first and foremost a park ski, but it boasts a versatile, all-mountain shape that rides well whether you're riding rails or trees. This is the widest Bash that Volkl makes, and as such it can handle the moguls and post-afternoon crud that inhabit resorts after a few hours. Its full rocker employs a tight turn radius that also helps you keep your turns up on the occasional powder ride, and the twin tips ride switch or forward with an equal performance.Volkl built the Bash out of a multilayer wood core composed of light, poppy poplar wood and denser beech wood underfoot for better binding retention. Carbon stringers amplify the wood core's stiffness for resilient dampening at higher speeds. Full sidewalls add the durability required for playing in the park, and they're easy to tune season after season.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
