Lunch laps popping off funky side hits and epic trail adventures are all on the menu for the new Yeti SB140 Lunch Ride. Built with Yeti's durable C/Series carbon which has recently been reworked for a better combination of torsional stability and flexibility this trail slayer is down to shred. 140mm of Switch Infinity rear travel gives us rear wheel traction for days whether we find ourselves climbing up slippery moss-covered slabs or descending through loose dusty dirt and it also minimizes pedal bob so we can be efficient during those long spans in the saddle. Yeti's engineers didn't stop with just refining the frame construction. They also made some geometry tweaks that have us stoked to point the SB140 LR downhill and get a little rowdy. Size-specific chainstays and seat tube angles ensure that we get to experience a consistent agile feel across the entire size range and it now boasts 29-inch wheels so we can boost up and over features with confidence. A 65-degree headtube angle bolsters that agile feel with razor-sharp handling and is paired with a 160mm travel fork to soak up big hits as we try out new drops we thought were only possible on a DH bike. The SB140 Lunch Ride C1 build is all about high performance in a package that won't break the bank. The 12-speed Shimano SLX drivetrain offers the same reliable smooth shifting capabilities as the higher-end XT and XTR components but at a fraction of the cost when it comes time for replacement parts something we all know is a guarantee in the world of enduro riding. The Fox Performance 36 fork carries us through big drops and high-speed tech with its 160mm of travel and offers adjustments that are easy to dial in without giving us a massive headache. A set of 4-piston Shimano SLX brakes ensures we have plenty of stopping power to tackle sketchier lines while still allowing us to modulate our speed with precision.
