When fractions of a second make all the difference between standing on the podium and sitting in the infield watching the ceremony, you want the best wheel for the job. The Zipp 808 Firecrest Tubular Track Wheel brings Zipp's venerable speed and aerodynamic advantages to the velodrome for blazing times and whip-fast windups. Long known as one of the fastest time trial rims available for the road, the 808's deep-dish 82mm profile is aggressively designed to slice through the air with minimal resistance. Zipp uses an updated version of its signature Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) dimpling with strategically placed and sized dimples across the rim surface to reduce drag and smooth airflow, negating the negative pull of dead air in the wheel's wake. At the center, Zipp incorporates its track-specific 333 hubset, which is built to withstand the rigors of track racing. 7075 aluminum hubshells wrap around stainless steel axles to create a lightweight, strong hubset that winds up fast and collaborates with the rims to hold speed. The rear hub features an asymmetrical flange to achieve equal tension in both the drive side and non-drive side spokes, which effectively eliminates torsional deflection in the hub under load. This means instant acceleration and perfect tracking through every turn, even when you're dropping maximum sprint watts into the pedals. The front hub boasts a 54mm spoke hole circle diameter and 15mm axle to keep the front wheel solid and responsive throughout the race. For ease of maintenance, the Zipp 808 Firecrest Tubular Track Wheel is easily removable from the bike with a 6mm Allen wrench, and the axle locknuts are compatible with standard open end wrenches. Each wheel comes with a Zipp valve tube extender and a recommended rider weight limit of 250 pounds.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
