Mission Statement

US-parks.com is a web-based organization with the goal of advocating for federal and state parks, encouraging people to "get outdoors" and enjoy our national and regional treasures. We pursue this goal by pulling information from various federal, state, and recreational agencies to make planning an outdoor experience easier and more attractive for the online community.

Visitors to our website will find planning their outdoor adventures a breeze with our various online resources including: locating a nearby park; planning a road trip; learning about the region surrounding the parks; booking lodging; and more. Should they need gear for their upcoming adventure, it's available right there on the site.

Over the long term it is our goal to provide continually improved information on federal and state parks, such as trail data, local wildlife, park history, etc. We strive to be a "go to" site by locating all this information and function under one hub, enabling easier trip planning to the great outdoors. It is our sincere wish to encourage repeat travel to "America's Natural Wonders" and at the same time encourage an active, healthier lifestyle.

About Us

US-Parks.com Inc. was established in August 2000 with the hopes to inspire travel to National Parks and Monuments within the United States. Over the years, we have expanded our destinations to BLM, Forest Service and other government lands. We don't intend to stop there, we want to encourage travelers to experience everything that is beautiful about the United States.

When US-Parks.com started in 2000, we had only a couple of Road Trips, basic coverage of the top National Parks and a few National Monuments. Now, we have thousands of pages of information regarding thousands of parks from highlights, planning, geology, camping, lodging, wildlife and more.

What do we see for the future of US-Parks.com? More information, more parks, more road trips and more experiences to share with our valued site visitors.
