Downhill Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding

Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area makes every mountain adventure fun and stress-free with our friendly, affordable ski and snowboard area that's perfect for skiers and riders of all levels. Here you'll find equipment rentals, top-notch instructors, a ski shop, cafeteria and lounge—and our fantastic sundeck, where you can watch your kids ski as you bask in the sunshine. The Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area is open from mid-December through mid-March, conditions permitting. For information, lessons, snow conditions call 209.372.8430.

Area Information:

  • Elevation: 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop of 800 ft.
  • Average Temperature range - 30° to 60° Fahrenheit
  • 10 ski runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced
  • 5 chairlifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 handle tow
  • Beginner-friendly terrain park

Pups Program Children's Downhill Ski/Snowboard

Kids from 4 to 6 years old can take part in our famous Badger Pups program, taught by a patient and sensitive ski or snowboard instructor.

Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
